Maggie and Lapu

Hello, we are Maggie (black male dog) and Lapu (brindle female dog).  We were found roaming alone in north Austin. Our foster dad could not find our owner so he sent us in for alterations, rabies shot, city of Austin registrations, and microchips. Then we found our original owner and he didn't want us back because we cannot be bred anymore. But our foster daddy is taking good care of us and we are starting to learn a lot of new things like sitting and proving to people that Pit Bulls are not vicious pets. We love to roughhouse and go for long walks and swimming. But don't forget that we are going to be big dogs. Right now we weigh about 35-40 pounds each. We both love our vegetarian diet right now and really hope to find new homes with yards so that we can run around. We would like to stay together but understand if we have to go our separate ways. Please consider taking us into your home and don't forget that our foster daddy is giving us to a good home but wants to make sure that you are going to get us our next round of shots. For information please contact our foster daddy at mikeonline@austin.rr.com.

Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot

Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot - these three lovely Aussie/Border Collie/Cattle dog mix pups were found by the side of the road, probably dumped there, in mid-April. The good Samaritans who picked them up called GAO and we're working on finding them solid, permanent, loving homes. They weigh about 20 pounds now - the vet says they're 16 weeks old. We've had them vaccinated (first round), spayed/neutered, microchipped, and they had their first yummy HeartGuard, too! They are healthy, happy, learning about crates, and are precious little kissers and waggers. Porsche is a little black (with a few white markings) female; Ferrari is the floppy eared, border collie looking, blue little boy; Peugeot is the lovely tri-color girl. If you are interested in learning more about them go to our website - www.georgetowndogrescue.com or www.petfinder.com/shelters/TX851.html - or email txcodigirl@gmail.com or dogs2spring@gmail.com.

Molly

Hi! My name is Molly and I’m a 2 ½ year-old, 65 lb. female yellow Labrador Retriever mix. I’m a sweet, playful girl looking for a new home. My owner takes me for short walks several times a week or takes me to the dog park on the weekend which makes me happy but I was really meant to have room to run and explore. Thus, it’s time to find a new home. Although I’d prefer to have a yard with a lot of room to run, I would also be happy with someone who goes on long daily walks or runs. I have been taught to heel on a leash so I am easy to walk or run with. I also know how to sit, stay, lay down, shake and am housebroken. I have a sister now and she and I get along really well so having another dog around would be great. I’ve never really been around cats but I perk up every time I see one outside. The only time I approached a cat, it hissed at me so I walked away. I love little children but given my size and energy level, they don’t normally like me because I lick them too much. I also love to swim and might make a good hunting dog (no current hunting training). If your home sounds like a good place for me, I’d love to meet you. Please call my owner (Casey) at 214-334-1987 to meet me. Also, I am healthy and in excellent condition (current on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention and has been spayed). I will come with the last year of my veterinarian history. c_schwab@hotmail.com

Sammi

Sammi is a 3 year old German Shepherd lady who is looking for her forever home. She is fun, energetic, and very loyal. She needs an active family with no kids to give her the attention she deserves and let her be the best girl she can be. She loves attention and would prefer to be a lap dog, if only her size would allow. She comes with two free private lessons from the Lee Mannix Center for Canine Behavior and is eager to meet her new family. Please call 512-371-DOGS or email lmccb@lmccb.com for more information about this special girl.

Choco

Hey – look how cute, ummm I mean, HANDSOME I am! This laid back chocolate lab/spaniel mix got the short end of the stick when it came to legs . When my current foster mom found me, I was wandering across Davis Lane in South Austin just trying to get into a back yard to play with another dog. I may have been traveling a while, I went through lots of stickers, but those are gone now and just look at my beautiful ears! I get along well with other dogs, walk okay on a leash and seem to be house trained. What I really like is laying by your feet and getting my belly rubbed…anybody out there give really good belly rubs? I would love to find a forever home, but a nice foster home would be good too! I'm very well behaved, am current on shots, scheduled to be neutered 5/ 8.

Choco is 6 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He is an awesome dog. For more information, email kalayajoelle@sbcglobal.net.

Samba

Samba is a loveable, spunky, beautiful black CockaPoo. Born in 1999--- my parents adopted him when his first owner had to give him up in 2005. Now my parents' serious health problems make it necessary to make a lot of big changes, including finding a new home for Samba. He is affectionate - likes to lap sit, cuddle on the couch & even sleeps in their bed! He is active, enjoys playing with tennis balls, chew toys and going for walks. He would thrive on a more active lifestyle than my parents have been able to enjoy in recent years. He responds to some commands but would benefit from some greater discipline (he's a barker!). He is current on all shots & heart worm prevention, neutered & healthy. If you would like to meet him, please contact me at writer1957@hotmail.com.

Nuala

After a divorce and an upcoming move out of state, I am very saddened to have to give up my sweet dog, Nuala. I picked her out of a litter of pups 5 1/2 years ago. Her father was a gorgeous Great Pyrenees and her mother the most gentle medium sized mixed-breed dog I have ever met. Nuala looks like a white lab with a purple tongue. Under different circumstances Nuala would live with me for the rest of her life, however, the reality is that I can no longer give her the care and life that she deserves. Nuala is an adventurous sweetheart who would thrive in a home with a yard for chasing squirrels as well as a couch to snuggle with her owners on. She enjoys the company of people over that of other dogs, although she has had a companion dog for the past 3 years. Nuala was not raised with cats and would prefer chasing them than to co-exist peacefully. Independent and intelligent, she does very well left alone during the day - outside or inside - while her people are at work. At night she loves a warm soft place to sleep and somebody to pet her. Nuala's 70 lb frame produces a deep bark for unwanted guests but her teethy-smile gives away her true sweet intentions. She'll jump and kiss you on the lips if you let her! Nuala has had basic training as a puppy and will do almost anything for a treat. She enjoys walks and playing tug with her favorite rope. Her independent personality keeps her from enjoying off-leash activities, however. She is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and house-trained. If you think Nuala would be a good fit for you please contact me at stinamann@austin.rr.com.

Pepper

I am a beautiful female rottie mix rescue puppy with a mild physical disability called cerebellar hypoplasia. My mother was poisoned while she was pregnant with me and my siblings and because of that I am the only one that survived. I am a very affectionate, very smart dog considering my disability. I have cerebellar hypoplasia which means she I'm a little un-coordinated. I sometimes stumbles when I walk and trip a lot when I get too excited. My case is not as severe as some and I'm learning to compensate for it quite well. My disability is not degenerative, does not require chronic medical care or any special requirements in a foster or adoptive family, just someone that understands that I'm a little clumsy. I am very sweet and get along great with other dogs, people, cats and livestock. I love being with people and playing with balls outside. I am up to date on all shots, spayed, heartworm negative and microchiped.

I love having other dogs as companions, but do just as well with people to play with. I need more obedience training since I'm still a puppy but have a lot of capability and willingness to please. I really need a yard or someplace where I can get out my excess energy. I like kids, but I don't think I would do well with small children in case I knocked them over when playing. If you are interested in meeting Pepper or want more information, contact leilaabbassi@msn.com or call 512-791-0516
Bruno

Bruno was given away to a relative when his family could no longer keep him. Although he is a very nice dog, they already have four resident dogs and don’t want another permanently! He’s a male Standard Poodle, about 60 pounds, male, neutered, and about a year and a half old. He likes to swim, is learning how to “fetch” and has very nice house manners. Bruno currently lives in a foster home with five dogs, four cats, and two children ages 8 and 11, so he’s used to a lot of activity; it doesn’t bother him a bit! Bruno is heartworm negative and on prevention, current on vaccinations and flea/heartworm prevention. Adoption application/interview and fee will be required. For more information on Bruno, email Laura at ljackson34@earthlink.net.

Liza Jane

Think Tigger but in dog terms. That's Liza Jane! Constant love and attention will be showered on all of those in her new forever home, with hugs and kisses no extra charge. Liza was found emaciated and running along a major road. She was shy for the first 24 hours. Now that she knows she is in a safe place, she has given all of her love to our family. She gets along great with our kids (ages 8 and 12) and other pets (dogs and cats). Liza Jane is about 35 pounds and around a year old. She had her "spa treatment" at Emancipet 4/4 and is now spayed, vaccinated, hw negative and on flea/heartworm prevention. For more information on sweet Liza Jane, email ljackson34@earthlink.net.

Vixey

Vixey is about 2 years old, healthy, playful, affectionate, and smart as a whip. This poor thing has had a very rough go of it, though. She was rescued while pregnant AND infected with heartworms, and unfortunately lost all her puppies. However, she's fully recovered and looking for a loving home and lots of cuddles. Vixey weighs about seventeen pounds (small little girl), and would do best in a home with no other pets, as she has the Sheltie herding instinct and likes to boss around our other dogs!  She is spayed, current on vaccines and heartworm preventive. If interested contact me at shibarescue@survivorsoft.com. We have an available adoption form at www.ilovashibas.com/rescue.html please indicate that you are interested in Vixey.

Petey

What is white, wrinkly, wiggly, and spotted all over? Why, Petey the Sharmation, of course! A Sharpei/Dalmatian mix, Petey is a fun-loving, exuberant, the-glass-is-half-full kind of dog. He is a smart dog that loves to learn new tricks, and with a great personality to match his unique appearance, he is sure to steal the spotlight. Petey would do well in an active household that wants a dog that can join them on walks, road trips, and other adventures. Although Petey loves to play with other dogs, he would be happiest as the only dog in the house so that his clownish antics can get the full appreciation and attention that they deserve. Petey is crate-trained, house-trained, gets along with other dogs (and cats with supervision). He is young (10-12 months), 52 lbs, up-to-date on shots, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Contact Joy at piabald@gmail.com.

Puddin'

Puddin' is a sweet young girl who loves everyone. She's very playful and full of life but can settle at your feet for "chew time" and be quite content. She is learning home manners at rocket speed. She is very quick to learn what gets her a "good girl" and some petting. Bring out the ball and she will perform acrobatics for you in traditional "Boxer Fashion". Boxer/Pit Mix (55 lb spayed female about 2 years old.) Does well with dogs, has lived successfully with one cat. Her coat is recovering from a non-contagious skin mite. Puddin' has been spayed and microchipped, is current on vaccinations. Discounted training at the Lee Mannix Center for Canine Behavior for the lucky adopters.  Contact missy@bluedogrescue.com for more information.

Cha Cha

Meet Cha Cha! She's a sweet and energetic pit bull without a family. She was abandoned at the vet clinic where I work and desperately needs to find the right home. She's about 3 years old and spayed. She is heartworm negative and updated on all of her shots. She has only been here for a few days, but has won the hearts of all of the staff. Email if you are interested and I'll let you know where you can meet her (and bring your own dogs to meet her if you would like). I will respond to all inquiries.  marissa.kilgore@yahoo.com

Eddie

If you are looking for a fun-loving, ball-chasing, energetic companion, then Eddie is your man (actually dog). He will play all day but, if you tell him to "place" will go to his crate/pillow (whatever you have designated as his "place") until you are ready to play again.
He gets along great with most dogs and is always up for a game of "Romp ' n Run." He loves to play with other dogs, and he is wise enough to respond appropriately to their cues. He has been great around dog-wise kids, never jumping on them, just always waiting for the next game of ball. He does OK with cats as long as they don't run from him. (Did we remember to tell you, he loves to run??) Eddie recently completed three months in a basic obedience program at Triple Crown Dog Academy working with students who are learning to become dog trainers (10/1/07-2/01/08). He knows commands like "sit", "down", "place" and "out" (to drop the ball). He will walk, at heel, on the leash if you tell him to but we don't work on that very often. Eddie is about 18 months old and is a Red Heeler mix. He was originally found as a stray near Lake Travis. He is now up-to-date on shots and heartworm/flea prevention, and has been neutered and microchipped. Eddie can jump like a track star so needs to be indoors or supervised in a backyard with a 6 ft fence. NOTE: Eddie cannot be left unattended in a yard, or he will go looking for you! In his current foster home, he is learning to run at Town Lake, and so far is up to 2 miles at a time. Eddie is looking for an active person(s) or a family with kids who will play with him and run and challenge him. He is gentle with everyone, in spite of his energy level. Eddie is house- and crate-trained, but he's still curious so needs your attention, or to be in his crate. For more information, contact austinaussierescue@hotmail.com.

Cisco

Does your active dog need a full-time play buddy?

Cisco is a high-energy, loyal and lovable friend. He was rescued from Town Lake Animal Shelter in August 2007. We think he is almost two years old. He is neutered. Since bringing him home, he has had formal obedience training through Taurus Training of Austin. He quickly learned all of the basic commands. He heels on leash, sits, lies down, stays and is getting better everyday at "here." His personality is great. He loves being around people, snuggling with his belly up in the air, playing in water, romping with other dogs, walking, going on long runs and chewing on bones.

Cisco is seeking a loving home with owners who embrace an active lifestyle. He needs a large, secure yard. And since he loves being with other dogs, it would be ideal if he had a high-energy dog companion to play with. Also, he needs a home with NO CATS around (he chases cats).  Interested parties must be willing to provide personal references, show us his new living environment and pay a $150 adoption fee that will go towards two in-home training sessions with Cisco's trainer.  If interested, please call 512-694-8152.

Scrappy

Hey All, "Scrappy-Dawg" update / February 27th. The little pup that showed-up New Years Day had patches of missing fur, some the size of my fist. Scrappy has had her 4th. dip for mange that she gets every other Sunday. The dips, proper diet and a place she can call home (the lack of stress) has all worked! Of course I'm biased, but this is one good lookin' brindle, truly a Scrapper !!! a.k.a. "HAPPY-DAWG"

Arliss

This adorable boy is looking for a home because his mom & dad got a divorce. He is a happy, friendly dog. He is a 6 year old, Heeler mix. He weighs 60 pounds. He has a moderate energy level and he is a real lovebug. His favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations and heartworm negative. Arliss was surrendered with his friend Hollie, who is on the main Blue Dog Page. For more info contact Deborah at forgottenfriendsrescue@yahoo.com.

Laci

Laci is an American Pit Bull Terrier. At 10 months old, she weighs 46lbs. She will probably grow to be around 55lbs. She has a pure white coat and glowing green eyes. Laci has lots of playful puppy energy and a very friendly disposition. Although energetic, she is very gentle. She is a very social dog and greets every human and dog with a waggin' butt. Laci is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. All she lacks is a forever home. Jack's Fur Angels of Texas, 512.292.4276 - Please leave a message if we don't answer. http://www.jack.petfinder.com

Senna

Do you like jogging or long walks? Senna is a smart, sweet, 5-year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is great with kids and cats. She knows several commands, and almost never barks. Senna sleeps inside, but loves to run outside with friends of any species. She has a microchip ID, and is current on all vaccinations. gregpgriffin@gmail.com

Chulo

This is CHULO. He is a 2.5 year old pure bred Staffordshire Bullterrier who needs a loving home. He is very, very gentle with humans and has been raised with children (10 and up). He should only go to a home where there are NO other pets. He is nuetered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He has been extremely healthy. He is crate trained and extremely calm inside the house. Please email linda@rchavez.net.

Beaux

Hello my name is Beaux, "Bo". I am a lab/pit mix. I am almost 2-years old. I was abandoned. Now, I am living in foster care and desperately want to find a forever home. I am a sweet dog. I have been temperament tested several times and always get 100 percent. I am good with cats, dogs, puppies, kids, people. I have never met another living creature I do not like! My foster family has never seen me snarl, snap, bite, or even growl. My foster family can take a dog treat right out of my mouth and pick me up to put me in the car. You can even pet me when I am eating. I am as sweet as can be. I never bark at other dogs. The only time I bark is when I want attention. ssimps32004@yahoo.com.

Elmo

Have you been wishing you could get a dog, but think maybe you aren't home enough for one? Have you been thinking about a dog because you want a companion who would be out-going and friendly, like to be petted and to hang out with you? Well, Elmo might just be the cat for you! He's truly a dog in a cat's body, with all the great characteristics I described above. He's probably a year and a half old, at our best estimate. We found him hanging out in front of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant next to a highway out in Bastrop, begging for attention from everyone who came in or out of the door. We whisked him away before he could help create any more kittens, and before he got smooshed on the highway only a few feet away. He has been neutered and gotten his shots. Elmo has one small problem, and that is that in his time as a wandering tom-cat he contracted FIV. This truly is a minor blemish to his record- it is NOT contagious to humans, and cats can live a long and happy life despite FIV. Check out this link for more information - Best Friends. He would probably be best in a one-cat household, but we suspect that he would do ok with some well-mannered dogs, and could test that if necessary. Please consider giving this great guy a forever home. Contact heidi@bluedogrescue.com for more information.

Buster

Buster's time had totally run out -- luckily a group of volunteers at Town Lake Animal Center had fallen in love with him and worked hard to get him out. He's with us in foster care now and he's thriving! Buster is a well-built American Bull Dog mix. If there was a doggie football team he would be playing quarterback! He's always ready to go do something and will need an owner that is familiar with active dogs. Buster needs a person who will work carefully and diligently with him, and continue to provide structure and set rules and boundaries. He's strong and strong-willed, but very sweet and smart. He wants to please and learns quickly. He's currently entering his third month of obedience boot camp (a $3,000 training value) and his trainer says he doing well with both on-leash and off-leash obedience commands. Buster is current on all of his vaccinations, heartworm negative, crate trained, micro-chipped, and neutered. For more information contact Georgetown Animal Outreach/JLRescue foster coordinator, Laura, at txcodigirl@gmail.com - thank you!

Willie

Willie is a foster puppy from the Georgetown Regional Shelter. When I brought him home October 3, he was completely hairless from demodex mange and very pink and scabby. The staff were so impressed by his sweetness that they could not bear to have him euthanized.

He has done amazingly well, and is about ready to go to a forever home. Unfortunately, due to an upcoming knee replacement surgery, I am going to have to return him the week after Thanksgiving. I would like to have him adopted to a forever home so he does not have to go back in a kennel. Willie is completely housebroken, knows how to sit and walk on a leash, loves my five dogs and one cat, though he is a little overwhelming for an eleven years old kitty with his puppy play, has great respect for my parrot, and will be neutered before leaving the shelter. He has also had two series of puppy shots. If you would like this little guy as your forever pal, please contact me at rrdragons@sbcglobal.net before November 26th. After that, you can contact the Georgetown Regional Shelter at 512-943-1693 and ask for Errin Coleman.

Ruby and Jade

Jade is a pure bred black Labrador, 8 years old, brought up on a 28-acre ranch in Ada, OK. She is potty trained, and is mostly an indoor dog. She is patient with children and great with adults, but can be protective when on walks. She is an excellent partner when jogging.

Ruby is a Dalmatian/Pointer mix, 4 years old, also brought up with Jade. Potty trained and mostly an indoor dog. She loves attention and loves to be around people. She will bark at strangers, but warms up quickly with a good pat. CM7623@att.com.

Molly

Molly is a Catahoula hound mix with all of the classic Catahoula traits. She weighs about 45 pounds, is intelligent, quick, energetic and very loving. Molly is less than a year old, is current on all of her shots, has been spayed, and is on heartworm preventative medication. She kennels very well. We are asking $100 for Molly.  Catahoulas are inquisitive and have an independent streak., but the Catahoula temperament is not suited for everyone. These dogs tend to be very protective of territory and family, and are assertive. Her independent nature, high energy and physical strength would make Molly “too much dog” for an inexperienced owner. Ideally, Molly should have obedience training, secure confinement on the owner’s property, and a daily outlet for her energy. The ideal place for Molly would be a rural setting where she has plenty of space to run, swim and explore. Contact dawn@bestfriendsboarding.com email or 800-922-4581 (Toll Free) at Best Friend’s Kennel, or her foster home at 512-303-7665.

Jordan

This sweet, happy girl is looking for a soft place to land. Her name is Jordan and she either lost her way or was thrown away by her former guardians. She is a dream dog - medium to low energy, affectionate, smart, and beautiful. Jordan is a Border Collie (she could be mixed with something else). She is about 5 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. Jordan is housebroken. She likes other dogs, not sure about cats. Jordan does have arthritis in her hind end. She has had hip surgery and sometimes needs a little pain medication. This does not mean she is down-n-out. Jordan loves to go for walks and rides in the car. We think she has had some training in the past. Contact missymc@gvtc.com for more information.

Princess

Princess is a girl who likes to live up to her name. Lazing in bed with lots of toys and belly rubs is her idea of the good life. It's certainly an
improvement over the side of the busy road where she was found! Princess was abandoned with several other dogs near Parmer and 290, and this poor little baby had just had babies of her own. Boy, has her life in changed since then!

Princess is an American Staffordshire Terrier, about a year old, spayed, and up-to-date on her shots. She's crate- and house-trained, and is in private lessons and a group obedience class at the Lee Mannix Center for Canine Behavior. Though he did term her slightly "emotional" ("Please don't say I'm in trouble!!!"), Lee says Princess has the ideal personality for obedience, and would probably excel at Agility or other advanced training. More than anything, Princess wants a family of her own. She's an affectionate girl who loves to lounge and watch TV with her people. She's starting to hang out with her foster brother, a Boxer, but she would probably be happiest as an only dog. Email drumminj@yahoo.com to meet this gorgeous girl!

UPDATE: Princess has now completed an Adult Obedience class at Lee Mannix Center for Canine Behavior. Lee has donated 2 free private lessons to her future adopter. She now lives and plays happily with her foster brother!

Pauly

This wonderful 16 month old boy is ready for some serious play time! Pauly started out as his parents neighbors dog, but because they didn't vaccinate him, he cam down with Parvo at about 6 months. The original owners refused to take him to the vet so his foster parents nursed him back to health and now he is definitely ready to romp!! He is extremely curious, loving, and expressive. He is a fast learner, is crate trained and knows how to sit and down. He will do anything for a treat! Tennis balls and nylabones are his all time favorite toys and he LOVES to splash around in the water! He weighs about 65 lbs. Pauly is neutered, up to date on all shots, and microchipped! Please contact Jessica at 512-484-9754 or email jessicarussell2@gmail.com if interested.

Ziggy

These 9 babies were born the day after their Mom was rescued from a life as a chained breeder dog. Their Mom Tella has a wonderful temperament and gentle loving nature. These puppies have been given two (some already have their third) rounds of puppy booster vaccinations and their bordetella and rabies vaccinations. They've also been spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Flash

Flash is an 11 month old American Pit Bull Terrier. He currently weighs 40lbs and will likely be around 50lbs when grown. He has a bluefawn brindle and white coat and very expressive ears.

Flash is an active puppy with a friendly disposition. He's a young, strong dog and yet very gentle, especially with children. He'll be your jogging and snuggling partner, he enjoys them equally. Flash is good with dogs, cats, and all people, children included. He is gentle on leash and responds to some basic commands. JacksAngelsTX@aol.com

Maverick

Maverick is 3 years old, heart worm negative, and on preventative treatment. He is approximately 80 lbs., neutered, and has only had 1 owner since the day he was born. His mother was my brother-in-law's dog, my husband was there the minute Maverick was born. He was the first one born hence the name, he was the Maverick of the litter. His medical record is completely clean and all his shots are up to date. He does jump fences so if he is going to be outside he would have to have a privacy fence. He is very curious and loves to inspect any new addition to the house whether it be a bag of groceries or a new pair of shoes. He is a snuggle bug who refuses to lay on anything that is not squishy and warm, including piles of laundry. His 2 favorite past times are playing with his Kong (which has lasted for 2 years with no damage) which he will throw in the air for himself and bat it all over the house, and sleeping with his owners (he likes to sleep with his head on the pillow like a person). His ears are the cutest thing ever, he cocks his head and pricks them up when you talk to him, he sits, lays down, and shakes. He is a wonderful dog but is not for anyone who is not home alot. He has alot of energy and needs to be played with, and not left alone all the time. He needs someone to love him as much as we do. meganford742@gmail.com.

Mudpie

Like his name says, Mudpie loves to cool off in the mud and play in the water. He loves people and other dogs, a good game of tug-o-war, and peanut butter doggie snacks. He is neutered, healthy and up-to-date on all shots. Come have a visit! He'd love to meet you! Just call Dorothy at 512-731-7657 or drop a note at d_vandecarr@yahoo.com.

Jeri and Harley

Jeri's the red-head on the left, and the dark handsome guy on the right is Harley.  Their human is relocating overseas and sadly cannot take them with her.  Their favorite pastime is being outside and keeping watch over their yard or just relaxing (read: sleeping) in the sunshine. They also enjoy a good hug and scratching. They're both very watchful and loyal dogs and would be a great addition to the proper home.

Jeri is a 11-year-old female chow mix and Harley is a 10 1/2-year-old male black lab mix.  They've been spayed and neutered.  Both have enjoyed excellent health their whole lives, although they're moving a bit slower now.  The vet has said that Jeri has a touch of arthritis, so when it bothers her, she gets half a Rimadyl and that fixes her right up.   They're both current on their shots and preventative heartworm and flea treatment.  Of course, they're both house trained.

Neither dog has spent a lot of time around small children or other dogs.  They do okay at the dog park but Jeri can be a bit snippy if she feels threatened.  They don't like cats and shouldn't be in a household with them.

If you think you'd enjoy their love and companionship and would like to have Jeri and Harley live with you for the rest of their lives, please contact me by email and I will forward an adoption application. Thanks for considering. imahappycamper@mac.com

Jesse

Jesse is a 6.5 yr old Border Collie desperately looking for home of FOSTER home. Jesse needs to be on inexpensive joint supplements daily for his hips. Jesse's former owners were not committed to providing him with his daily supplements (2 pills which he takes without hassle) so they asked his vet to euthanize him. Jesse's vet felt that euthanasia for such a manageable condition would be unethical, so she decided she would take Jesse as her own. Jesse's owners gladly signed Jesse over to his doctor. Unfortunately Jesse's vet's personal dogs were not as happy to help Jesse out and would not accept him as a new family member. Jesse's vet is desperately searching for a new or temporary home for this sweet guy. Jesse is very obedient and knows several commands and cool tricks. He does best with female dogs and no cats or assertive cats. Jesse is neutered, up-to-date on vax and heartworm prevention and fully housebroken. If you can help with Jesse, please call Stacy @ 653-5442.

Angel

Angel is a Great Pyrenees/Golden mix (per the vet) and is really loveable, house broken and loves to play with kids or just in general. She is a inside dog mostly but will stay outside sometimes when the weather is nice, not all night though.

I also have her crate trained and will donate her crate with her. She is current on all of her shots (I have her shot record) and has been fixed and micro-chipped. 512-514-1955 or MMCCOWN5@Austin.rr.com.

Chewie

This is Chewie. Chow mix between 5-6 years. Chewie is currently having to stay in a home where is crated most of the time really needs a new home with the ability to move around and run. He loves to play and is well trained but can be a little stubborn. He's quite a silly dog. Any questions, please ask. Jessica-jessicagardner@cox-internet.com

Daisy

Daisy is a sweet, fun-loving girl who is good with other dogs of all sizes and cats (we don't have the opportunity to test her with kids). She is 9 months to a year old, spayed and current on all of her shots.  We are currently fostering her, and would keep her if we could. She suffered some neglect from her previous owner, but it hasn't affected her wonderful personality. She loves to play with other dogs and sleep at her person's feet. If you would like to have Daisy at your feet, please contact us at a1live72@yahoo.com or 512-762-0105.

Thumper

Thumper is the brown dog in the pictures. The black one is her sister. Thumper is a very sweet and simple dog. All she wants is attention and to be pet, with an occasional outing. She knows simple commands, like come, go, sit, down, wait (when she wants), and leave it. She loves being with her owner, but has trouble not being the alpha dog. She is vocal. She makes certain noises when she does not like what is happening or wants attention, which is not barking or growling, but something else. One drawback is that she becomes aggressive when exposed to a submissive dog. Otherwise, she plays well with other dogs, although vocal. She would be great in a household that could give her attention and with an owner who would enjoy just sitting on the couch while petting Thumper, who would sit on the floor next to the couch. She does not fetch, has improved at swimming, and likes to go running/walking on trails.

Thumper is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and HW negative. For more information on Thumper, email me at minor.wisdom@gmail.com.
